Join Lansing Community College for the 5th Annual Eco-Scholars Day, this Friday April 25th 12pm-3pm, at LCC’s West Campus. Eco-Scholars is an excellent opportunity for students to learn and present about the latest trends in sustainability and the environment. All who are in attendance will be treated to amazing, creative and innovative displays and presentations!



An LCC van will picking up and dropping off students at the Corner of Shiawassee and Capital Avenue beginning at 11:00 AM and dropping them off at West Campus every 30 minutes until 3:30 PM.

DYI Duct Tape Accessories | Make something useful out of duct tape: a wallet, key ring, or your own creation. We’ll be on hand to assist you.

Get Help | Ask a Librarian for help with citing sources and finding information for papers and projects. Ask a Tech Guide for help formatting in Microsoft Word and other technology issues. Ask a Tutor for help with writing, math, and other subjects.

StarScapes: Student Innovation and Creativity Showcase

The LCC StarScapes Steering Committee would like to invite you to attend StarScapes: Student Innovation and Creativity Showcase. This is a celebration of student innovation and creativity taking place in A&S 111 on Wednesday, April 23 (10-6) and Thursday, April 24 (9-5).

StarScapes is a showcase of creative, imaginative, novel, innovative, and interesting work produced by LCC students.

StarScapes provides an opportunity for students to share the exciting work that they are doing with the LCC community. Presentations include creative and research work produced for LCC classes, as well as work that students have produced on their own.

We will be having presentations ranging from scientific demonstrations to artwork to musical performances.

We hope that you will be able to attend to support your fellow students!

Apple, Inc. Seeking Employees for New Retail Store Opening in Lansing

On Tuesday, April 22nd, representatives from Apple, Inc. will be at LCC talking to students about employment opportunities for college students at their new store in Lansing, Michigan.  The exact location for the store has not yet been disclosed to the public.  It is anticipated the store will be opening late summer 2014.
On Main Campus, there will be a table set up in the courtyard outside of the Arts & Sciences Building from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
On West Campus, there will be a table set up in the main entrance lobby area from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interested students will have an opportunity to speak with the representatives and submit a resume.  Most positions are open to students from all degree areas with the primary skill needed being good customer service skills.  There a few technical positions available.

The Volunteer Services webpage is in the process of being redesigned to include picture archives, recent and upcoming happenings, and a special section for opportunities going on in the community. There will also be a new, convenient way to sign up for events.

Additionally, the LCC Volunteer Services Newsletter is a new monthly resource for anyone interested in serving the community to connect with nonprofits, be notified of the latest opportunities, and to see the impact being made locally.
