Arts Connect @ LCC

Arts Highlight of the Week: Imagining America’s annual National Gathering takes place via Zoom Thursday-Friday, Oct. 21-22. The Imagining America consortium (IA) brings together scholars, artists, designers, humanists and organizers to imagine, study and enact a more just and liberatory “America” and world. LCC is a member institution, so registration for the National Gathering is free to all employees and students. This year’s gathering takes a virtual journey to explore water as both a focus of, and inspiration for, creative practice and cultural organizing. Learn more and register online, or contact Melissa Kaplan and Barb Clauer with questions.

Read more about this event and all of LCC’s arts programs at Arts Connect @ LCC. This new openlcc site gathers LCC’s wealth of arts under one roof so it’s easy to make connections with performing, visual, media and literary arts. Find programs and events led by LCC’s arts and humanities programs and other academic departments, as well as programming with an arts component presented by other college areas such as the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
