LCC’s 2021 Annual Security Report

Dear LCC employees,

Today, LCC released two reports: (1) The 2021 Annual Security Report, and (2) the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program. These reports are to comply with the requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 (Clery Act), and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act. The reports are required by federal law to certify our good-faith effort to ensure you are aware of your surroundings and have the information you need to keep yourself safe.

The Annual Security Report contains statistics from the previous three years concerning crimes that occurred on campus, in non-campus buildings, on properties owned or controlled by the college, and on public property. The report also includes college policy statements concerning campus security; crime prevention; reporting of crimes; timely warnings; emergency response and evacuation; and alcohol use, drug use and sexual offenses.

The Annual Security Report is available on the Public Safety website. Hard copies of the reports are available upon request at LCC’s Police and Public Safety office, located in the Gannon Building, 411 N. Grand Avenue, Room 2110, Lansing, Michigan.
As director of LCC’s Office of Police and Public Safety, my priority is to ensure the safety of everyone on LCC campuses. You can reach us at 517-483-1800, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We strive to enhance the quality of life on campus by building relationships, strengthening stewardship and working collaboratively within our diverse community to reduce crime, enforce laws, preserve peace and provide for a safe environment. We encourage you to read the entire report and use the information to help protect yourself, your classmates and your colleagues.
