Grand Avenue Market opens Sept. 14

Continental Services will open Grand Avenue Market in the Gannon Commons on Sept. 14. Einstein Bros. Bagels and Subway will not be open during the fall semester.

In addition, the TLC Building’s new “Smart & Go” machines are up and running. The machines include a variety of beverages, snacks, sliders, wraps, salads and sandwiches. They are restocked every Tuesday and Thursday, or more often if needed, keeping the food fresh. The machines are located at the south end of the first floor, close to the N. Capitol Avenue entrance. During the fall semester, they are available 7:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, and 10:45 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

Continental also plans to offer the “Continental Connect” app for Downtown and West campuses. This app, available for Apple and Android, allows employees and students to pre-order food for quick and easy pickup. At the Downtown Campus, people will be able to pick up their orders within 15 minutes of ordering, between 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Due to the drive from downtown to West Campus, Continental will set up two delivery time slots, 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. More details about this app are coming soon.

LCC West, East, Livingston and Mason offer beverages, snacks and some microwave items within vending machines.
