LCC forgives four years of student debt

Students are getting a fresh start in time for the fall semester. The college is forgiving student debt from fall 2017 through spring 2021, giving students a chance to pick up where they left off in their education.
LCC is using federal funding to forgive outstanding account balances for the past four years. This includes recalling eligible accounts from collection. The funding comes from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III), authorized by the 2021 American Rescue Plan.
The goal of the program is to, first and foremost, give our students a break during an incredibly difficult time. We also hope students will use the opportunity to re-enroll and complete their degree or certificate at LCC.
Please note: Due to the nature of our federal funding, this is a one-time program. Students are responsible for full payment for all future semesters, either through financial aid, payment plans or full payment. Student who do not have sufficient financial aid must sign up for a payment plan or pay in full, or they will be dropped from their classes.
