Students can now apply for fall 2020 CARES Act financial aid grants

Last week, LCC opened applications for fall 2020 CARES Act grants. The money comes from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economy Security (CARES) Act and is designed to provide assistance to students who have expenses related to the ongoing disruption of campus services.

To apply, students must complete the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and fill out the LCC CARES Application.

The college will award a fall semester maximum of $750 per student to assist with food, internet, course materials and utilities. Unfortunately, because of federal restrictions on how we use this money, we cannot provide CARES Act aid to international, DACA, Early College, dual-enrolled or non-credit students. Students who fit into any of those categories and need assistance are asked to contact the Academic Success Coaching team to connect with additional resources.
