Red Cross requesting blood donations during critical shortage

The American Red Cross is experiencing blood shortages and needs volunteers to donate.  Thousands of blood drives in Michigan and across the country have been canceled due to shelter-in-place orders and other COVID-19 precautions.

Giving blood is considered an essential community service, and therefore is allowed during Michigan’s shelter-in-place order. If you are willing and able to donate, you can schedule an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. Appointments are requested to support social distancing.
