Lisa Webb Sharpe named LCC executive vice president

The Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Senior Vice President of Finance, Administration and Advancement Lisa Webb Sharpe to the newly created position of executive vice president.

The appointment was effective Monday, June 18.

Webb Sharpe will provide leadership, management and vision to ensure the college has the appropriate operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and staffing systems in place to effectively grow the institution and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

She has served as senior vice president of finance, administration and advancement at LCC since January 2010. Previously, Webb Sharpe served as director of the State of Michigan’s Department of Management & Budget, deputy chief of staff in the Michigan Governor’s Office, and a cabinet member in the Detroit Mayor’s Office. She has several published articles and serves on the boards of the YMCA, Michigan American Council on Education Women’s Network and Capital Area United Way.

Webb Sharpe holds a doctorate in community college leadership from Ferris State University, an MBA from Wayne State University, and a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.
