Provost hosting numerous forums to discuss embedded academic support

Provost Elaine Pogoncheff is hosting several open forums to discuss embedded academic support across campus. Forums will be held:

  • 2-3 p.m. Friday, March 30, in A&S Building 224
  • 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in Gannon Building 2214
  • 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Grand River Room of the new Gannon Conference Center, located near the Commons
  • 1-2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in TLC 127
  • 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, in West Campus W157
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in West Campus W157

Discussion topics might include:

  • Rethinking tutoring
  • Supplemental instruction
  • Team teaching
  • Developmental education redesign
  • Boot camps and start-up workshops
  • National best practices in specific disciplines
  • Anything that might help a student succeed in a college-level course

Come share your thoughts and ideas, learn about the Embedded Academic Support Team’s charge and progress, and brainstorm about non-traditional academic support.

We encourage you to think “outside the box” and take part in designing a new model that empowers students to succeed in their college goals.
