Performing Arts offers three opportunities to see students perform this weekend

Performing Arts students continue their end-of-semester series of performances this weekend.

The LCC Rock Band will be led by Chris Rollins in classic and contemporary rock standards at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 15, in Dart Auditorium. This winter’s concert will include original music written by LCC students as well as covers of Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, Vulfpek, Amy Winehouse and more.

The Beginning Theatre Studio class will perform “The Good Doctor,” written by Neil Simon and directed by Andy Callis. The comedy consists of several short plays, all based on short stories written by Anton Chekhov. The show will be performed at the Black Box Theatre in the Gannon Building at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 15, and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.

LCC dance students and faculty will showcase pieces from tap, jazz and ballet classes at the Dance Open House at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, in Dart Auditorium.

All performances are free and open to the public, but donations are appreciated. Come support our students!
