Reminder: Please send offer letters and new hire paperwork to HR in timely fashion

Human Resources believes that how we conduct new employee orientation sets the tone for how newly hired employees go forward with their LCC careers. It’s important we are prepared and they are prepared so the experience starts them off on the right foot. In support of this, the following timelines are critically important:

Regular (non-student) faculty and staff

  • Offer Letters – All offers must be emailed to Human Resources no later than 3 p.m. on the previous Friday for anyone who will be attending orientation the following Monday. Offer letters are to be emailed to Anita Evans, Sydney Glasscoe and Angie Butterwick, with “Offer Letter” in the subject line.
  • New Hire Paperwork – All new hire paperwork must be received by Human Resources no later than 4 p.m. on the previous Friday for anyone who will be attending orientation the following Monday.

Student employees

  • Offer Letters – All offers must be emailed to Human Resources (Danielle Nick) no later than 5 p.m. on the previous Thursday for anyone who will be attending orientation the following Monday.
  • New Hire Paperwork – All new hire paperwork must be received by Human Resources (Danielle Nick) no later than 3 p.m. on the previous Friday for anyone who will be attending orientation the following Monday.

Newly hired faculty or staff are scheduled for the next new employee orientation after the offer letter/new hire paperwork is received by Human Resources.

Human Resources offers new employee orientation generally on Mondays each week, beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. Newly hired employees should be told to arrive by 8:15 a.m. and plan to stay all morning. Generally, orientation is held in the Gannon Building, Room 2214 (formerly GB 244). Deviations from this location or schedule are announced via The Star and the operations email. For example, orientation following Labor Day will be held Tuesday, Sept. 5 in the Administration Building, Room 200.

Thank you for your continued cooperation, working together to do what is best for our employees and students.
