Three things to know about the Center for Transitional Learning at LCC

1. The Center for Transitional Learning (CTL) provides a positive learning environment to support first-year college success for both native and non-native English-speaking students.

2. The CTL uses innovative methods and small class sizes to teach reading, developmental writing, English as a second language and the academic first-year experience.

3. Students enroll in CTL classes along with college-level classes in communication, English, health career, technical career, performing arts or CORE general education classes. This concurrent-enrollment model allows students to begin earning credits toward their degree while receiving academic support to help them succeed.
