Join LCC community in March 25 service project to ‘Blanket the Neighborhood’

Join colleagues, students and the LCC community Saturday, March 25 to create blankets to help students as well as refugees resettling in Lansing.

We will “Blanket the Neighborhood” by creating handmade tie blankets for this family-friendly service opportunity. It’s easy to do, and we can teach you! The event promotes social justice, supports equity and inclusion, encourages civic engagement and activism in the local community by LCC students and employees, and provides essential items to those in need. It also creates and cultivates a sense of community in helping develop a spirit of service across the LCC campus.

The blankets will be donated to the Stars Helping Stars Pantry, which is open to all students and located in the StarZone in the Gannon Building, and to St. Vincent Catholic Charities, which works with refugees relocating to the area.

The event is noon-4 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in the West Campus Atrium. Questions? Contact or x1285.
