Utilizing the collaborative processes specified in our labor agreements and business practices, LCC recently developed a new Statement of Practice (SOP) entitled “Interactions with Enrolled Relatives.” The purpose of this SOP is to ensure that employees avoid actual or perceived preferential treatment or conflicts of interest when their relatives are enrolled at the college.
This SOP becomes effective at the start of the Spring 2017 semester, but exemption requests for Spring 2017 must be submitted by Nov. 10, or as soon as the employees are aware of the potential conflict, whichever is later.
