Assessment Center Name Change

The Assessment Center is excited to announce that they have changed their name to Testing Services.  The name change will better reflect the multiple testing offices and the variety of testing related services that are offered at LCC.

The testing offices on Main Campus follow:

LCC also offers the following proctored testing sites for online courses:  Downtown Campus, West Campus, the Livingston County Center in Howell, and LCC North.

Early LCC, our NAEYC Accredited and 5 Star Quality on-site childcare center, currently has an opening for a full-time 4 year old Preschool student and a full-time 18 months-3 year old Toddler.

Please join our new Director of Assessment, Dr. Karen Hicks, this Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (workshop goes until 5:00 p.m.) in AOF 201B for an informal workshop on Guided Pathways as part of the “Workshops with Christine” series. You may drop in for all or part of the session.

Guided Pathways is an Operation 100% major project.

In these hands-on workshops, you are invited to ask questions, share ideas and critiques, and bring documents started or in progress. Samples and resources will be shared at the workshops.

Students who donate non-perishable food items will be entered into a drawing to win $200 in MBS bookstore credit (2 awards). Drop off locations and drawing entry forms will be at the Gannon Building Student Life Office and TLC Library check-out desk.

LCC Web Refresh Town Hall Session; November 18th, 10-11:30am

With the “Discovery Phase” of LCC’s Web Refresh initiative coming to its completion, the Web Refresh Town Hall session offers the LCC community an opportunity to hear what was learned in the discovery phase of this project.  During this meeting, iFactory will present an overview of the Web Refresh Strategy Report, information about strategic recommendations, and their redesign process. This is a chance for LCC faculty, staff, and students to learn about the project, ask questions, and voice concerns.

Literary Ireland Study Abroad Program


Application Deadline: Friday, December 4, 2015

Students will be notified before the end of fall semester of acceptance and will be able to register after they are accepted into the program.

When: May 15 – June 1, 2016 (between spring and summer semesters)

Where: We will travel to Dublin, Sligo, and Galway in the Republic of Ireland, with day trips in and around these three “home” bases.

What: Irish literature and mythology are the primary subjects covered.

Who: Literary Ireland is open to LCC students and community


How much: Estimated cost is $3500.

The estimated cost includes all lodging in Dublin, Sligo, and Galway, all ground transportation, all activity tickets and admissions, most meals, in-district tuition, international health insurance, and estimated airfare. (Students will receive a list of recommended flights and purchase their airfare individually.)
