Concur Refresher Course March 26

Financial Services will be offering a monthly face-to face Concur refresher session for those employees who have already taken the online Concur training, but have questions on specific items in their expense report or the new Concur interface.  These monthly sessions will take the place of the Concur walk-in Friday sessions.  Our first Concur refresher session in February was a success with useful information for end users.

The next Concur refresher session will take place on March 26, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Please sign up through LMS as there will be limited seating available.  Only those employees who have already taken the online training will be able to attend the refresher sessions.  Only employees who are charged with purchasing or traveling on behalf of the College should have access to Concur.

Experience #starpower – Gary Guller Event

Please plan to join your College colleagues when Gary Guller visits LCC on April 10, 2015.  Gary is the final speaker of the 2014-2015 AQIP Speakers’ Series.

Gary was the leader of the largest ever cross-disability group to reach Mt. Everest Base Camp at 17,500 feet.  He then went on to scale the peak and became the first person with one arm to summit Mt. Everest.  Later the next year, Gary lead an expedition to the summit of the world’s sixth highest mountain, Mt. Cho Oyu in Tibet.

Gary uses his extraordinary experiences to share the importance of equality, determination, teamwork, and integrity and how these traits lead to personal and professional success.  Gary shows how acceptance of diversity and diversity of thought will serve a globally integrated world economy in a positive way.

This event is open to all LCC faculty and staff.  We will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the lower level of the HHS building.  Lunch is provided.

If you would like to attend, you must pre-register by April 1  using LCC’s Learning Management System.  To access the system, log on to myLCC.  On the “Work” tab, select “Learning Management System.”  On the home page, click on April 10 on the calendar.  Then select the event and hit “Request.”
