Next LCC – Behind the Scenes: Please spread the word as all are welcome!
Our first LCC – Behind the Scenes session on Dec 2nd was a success! Thanks to our presenter, Kim Stanbridge, for her outstanding presentation where she discussed how the use of the Banner Document Management (BDM) solution has really streamlined work in the LCC Financial Aid office.
LCC – Behind the Scenes are sessions where LCC employees (and students for appropriate topics) all gather and hear a presentation on something that is going on at LCC that they may otherwise not be aware of. This gives an opportunity to learn something new, ask questions of the presenter, and engage with other LCC constituents that you may otherwise not cross paths with. So I encourage all of you to take a break and come on out, learn something about LCC, grow your LCC network, and have some fun!
Our next presentation will be by Zack Hoffmann from ITS, and this presentation is open to both students and employees!
“Who am I?”: Identity and Access in LCC IT Services
From the time you arrive at LCC you receive a digital identity which grants you access to a variety of IT services from Banner to email to myLCC and beyond. This access depends upon a massive network with dozens of different pieces including people, policies, and servers. How does your information from the time of admission or hire get to Banner, to the cloud, and back, and what happens when one of those pieces breaks down?
Session: January 26th in room TLC 127
Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
LCC Employees: Please register in the Learning Management System (LMS). The link to the LMS is found in the Employee eToolbox on the Work Tab in myLCC. Once in the LMS, please search for “Behind” in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the page. You will find, “LCC – Behind the Scenes” in the search results. Click on this, and proceed with your registration.
LCC Students may just attend the session without registering.
P.S. LCC Employees, please obtain your supervisor’s approval to attend this session, as required.
