SharePoint Online Training

Colleagues,

In December 2013, the College began using the Microsoft Office365 product. One of the services included in Office365 is SharePoint Online.

Basic training for SharePoint is now available on LCC’s Learning Management System.

You can access the training by logging into myLCC and clicking the “Work” tab near the top of the web page. The Learning Management System (LMS) is found in the Employee eToolbox.

The SharePoint Training will be listed under the “Other Available Trainings” section.

Please contact the Help Desk (517-483-5221 or lcc1@lcc.edu) for assistance accessing the training and to put in a request for additional training.

IMPORTANT ITS MSG: Banner Extended Maintenance Window on 7/11/14

BANNER SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE DURING EXTENDED MAINTENANCE WINDOW

Important Details:

Extended Maintenance Window:

Start: 5 pm on Friday, July 11, 2014

End*: 11 pm on Friday, July 11, 2014

*Note: All efforts will be taken to complete this work as soon as possible, and the Banner system will be brought back up when we are finished with our work

 Affected Systems:

The following systems will be unavailable during this maintenance window:

–  Argos

–  Application Manager (UC4)

–  Banner Document Management (BDM)

–  Banner INB

–  Banner Self Service

–  Banner Workflow

–  myLCC (Will be available, but the Banner portlets will be unavailable while Banner is offline)

Further Banner Upgrade Details:

LCC is implementing Banner’s “Banner Event Publisher (BEP)” feature, and is also upgrading the Banner Enterprise Identity Services (BEIS) component.  This implementation and upgrade is projected to take upwards of 5 hours, and hence, we would be very close – if not run over – our standard maintenance window on Fridays from 6 pm – 11 pm.  Hence, in order to ensure we stay within our approved maintenance window, the System Operations Coordinating Committee (SOCC) approved this extended maintenance window to 5 pm – 11 pm on July 11th as having the least impact on staff and students at this point in the academic year.  During this time, the affected systems noted above will be unavailable.  This change does not impact the end-users as this functionality affects the back-end processing for Banner.
