It’s the last weekend of Spring semester and LCC performing arts students are going strong with final productions for everyone to enjoy. The LCC Rock Band plays Dart Auditorium at 7:30 pm Friday, including contemporary, classic and original rock tunes, directed by Chris Rollins. Over in the Black Box, the 1st semester Theatre Studio presents Women vs. Man, Parents vs. Children, Dog vs. Bear?!, a collection of one act plays and monologues about life and love. Directed by Mary Matzke, the free play runs Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm in 168 Gannon Building. On Saturday night, head to Dart at 9:30 pm for Film Fest presenting two short films produced this semester in LCC Theatre classes. The Moor, The Better features John Lepard’s Acting for the Camera students in a comedy about a college production of Shakespeare’s Othello. This original film is co-directed by Lepard and LCC alumn Tobin Bates. John Lennox’s Stage Combat students perform in The Hunted: Bloodsport, a vampire tale directed by Bates. All events are free.
